This new edition of Tuesday of Chilean Series invites us to a journey around the most precious traditions of Chile, in an animated format that keeps alive the heritage of oral storytelling. Cuenta La Leyenda will be available for everyone worldwide during seven days, a production that places in the memory of the new generations of girls and boys various popular folktales.
Cuenta La Leyenda is a 13-episode cartoon series that rescues the legends of Chile and Latin America, presenting them with a dynamic vision of global character. Through adventure, terror and subtle comedic elements they reveal characteristic stories that have forged the Latin American identity.

Its protagonists are part of an adventurous family that travels through different parts of the region. In each destination they will meet supernatural beings, terrifying scenarios and mysterious situations, facing their fears and overcoming danger. Among the legends are "Tue Tue", a creature of the Mapuche mythology, "Las Tres Pascualas", a legend of the Chilean southern city of Concepción, among many others.
Cuenta la leyenda, was created by Eduardo and Teresa Salinas, from the production company Yestay, and directed by Jorge Olguín and Julio Plot.
Originally from the Atacama Region in the north of Chile, Yestay has produced animation, fiction and documentary projects. Their works include the animated series Cuenta la leyenda (2017) and Tararea (2016) and the animated short film Tololo Pampa (2012). In fiction, they produced the short film Electric Man (2016), award winner of multiple national and international film festivals (KAOHSIUNG, SANFIC, FICVIÑA, LEBU, among others), the feature Diablada (2020), recently presented and screened at the Marché Du Film de Cannes 2020, and the documentary Skoi, Mujeres de Mar (2011).
Currently, the production company is working on the feature documentary La otra Teresa and developing the animated series Club de Leyendas, a spin-off of Cuenta la Leyenda, a series that has more than 1 million subscribers and 250 million views on Youtube.
