A CONTINENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE UNITED IN THIS SERIES NOMINATED FOR AN EMMY “LATIN AMERICAN DREAMS”

A CONTINENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE UNITED IN THIS SERIES NOMINATED FOR AN EMMY “LATIN AMERICAN DREAMS”

Latin American Dreams is an exciting journey through this side of the world, seen through the eyes of girls and boys who share their extroverted personalities and sensitive perspectives in a journey that crosses cultures, languages and worldviews. Created by Mi Chica Producciones, this acclaimed show is a national pride, receiving the Emmy Kids Award nomination in 2016. In this edition of Tuesday of Chilean Series, we invite you to watch the first and second episodes of this audiovisual jewel, where you can be part of the dreams of the youth of our continent.

The protagonists of Latin American Dreams are between 9 and 14 years old and live in Mexico, Colombia, Cuba, Peru, Guatemala, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela and Chile. With different opinions and varied accents, their youthful regards are full of freshness, innocence and wisdom, delivering diverse points of view on how to make Latin America a better continent, more united and less unequal. United by pride in traditions, they do not want their cultures to be lost by the various external forces that threaten to destroy them.

Kevin

The first episode follows the tender and talented Kevin, who lives with his family in Havana, Cuba. Kevin carries music in his blood and has an exceptional musical gift, as at a very young age he began to show his skills with percussion. Since he started playing he has never stopped and dreams of composing music, playing in an orchestra and traveling the world, but always returning to where his roots are.

In the second episode we land in Peru, where we see the life of Emiliano, a country boy  whose family makes every effort so that he can be educated and have a better future. During the week he lives with her mother in the city of Cajamarca, where he attends school. On weekends he returns to his home in Puruay Alto. To get there they move through the only means of locomotion that exists, a milk truck. In Puruay Alto, his father awaits him and the country life that he longs for when he is in the city.

Latin American Dreams was created by Mi Chica Producciones,  a production company that was founded at the end of 2009 as an audiovisual team motivated by telling humane stories from the most diverse realities and latitudes, appealing to the audience to connect with other people’s lives. Their works contribute to the glimpse and reflection of the world and have won various awards, including 2 International Emmy Awards for their production What is your dream? , which was also part of our Tuesday of Chilean Series.
