Chilean film Some Beasts, directed by Jorge Riquelme and starring Paulina García and Alfredo Castro, shined bright with the New Directors award at the 67th edition of the San Sebastián Film Festival. Riquelme landed in Spain with his second feature film, one that tells the story of a family that disembarks on an uninhabited island in the South of Chile with the dream of building a hotel. There they become stranded following the disappearance of the man who had transported them. Cold, without water, and uncertain, polite cohabitation will end, and the beasts that the family hides will be uncovered.
