Alfredo Castro is the protagonist of two films, both in the Official Selection: Karnawal, a chilean coproduction produced by Diego Rougier, and Las Consecuencias, where he acts alongside the colombian-spanish star Juana Acasto.

Chilean documentaries are also present with full force with two powerful short films: La siesta del carnero by director Valeria Hoffman, produced by Brisa Films, and Correspondencias, codirected by two of the most awarded iberoamerican directors: Dominga Sotomayor and Carla Simón
