We continue this new week of Tuesdays of Chilean Series with Los buenos cabros, a web series in a sort of fake docu reality format that tells the story about the relationship between five brothers. In the first episode they learn that their father, who abandoned them 10 years ago, finally returns home. Dealing with the strong opposition of a homophobic older brother, the family has to overcome the most absurd situations to prepare their father’s welcome. This is the central core of the production written and directed by Pablo Greene, who is one of the co-writers and executive producer of the Chilean film Mala Junta, by Claudia Huaiquimilla.
Produced by Guillermo Migrik, it was financed by the National Audiovisual Fund of the National Council of Culture and the Arts, CNCA, making us laugh with performances by Mario Ocampo, Álvaro Valdebenito, Juan Anania, the brothers Camilo and Abel Zicavo, Valentina Parada, José Antonio Raffo and Claudio Arredondo, as well as cameos by Sigrid Alegría and Juan Andrés Salfate.
Released in 2017 by Red.cl and on the Equipo TV Youtube channel, Los buenos cabros consists of 9 episodes of 12 minutes each, immersing us into the nonsense and the constant laughter. Due to this simple and absurd story, in 2018 the series participated in the Ibero-American Competition of the Buenos Aires International Webseries Festival.
