Today we come to you with great content for the whole family and we do it by the hand of Hostal Morrison, an animated kid’s series created by the outstanding animator Bernardita Ojeda (nominated in 2019 for an International Emmy Award for Petit) and produced by the production company Pajaro.
What is Hostal Morrison about?
The series shows the adventures of a group of monsters who are in charge of a human hostel and whose story begins with an important narrative milestone: Celeste Morrison’s parents go on a trip to Transylvania and she is left in charge of the mansion. To combat loneliness, she decided to transform the house into a hostel for human beings. This triggers a dynamic and entertaining journey about inclusion, diversity and creativity.
Musicalized by Pedro Santa Cruz, it was created for children over 6 years old and has 26 episodes of 13 minutes each. The story takes place in two seasons, the first of which was released in 2011 ( by Canal 13) and the second, brought to the small screen by CHV in July 2013. Hostal Morrison was also broadcasted on Pakapaka and Cartoon Network Latin America in 2015.
Pajaro’s ideas that have reached to fly away
Pajaro is a prolific creative animation studio based in Santiago, Chile. They develop their own content in the form of animated series for television and online platforms, including Clarita (2004), Helados (2008), Chanchiperri (2012), broadcasted by Cartoon Network and Petit (2018), broadcasted by Canal 13, PakaPaka and Señal Colombia. This studio looks to create concepts and ideas, both for their own projects and for the needs of others, using animation as a language to facilitate the communication of stories, messages or contents that are difficult to understand. Humour, ingenuity and graphic expression define this talented Chilean production company.
