The 53rd edition of Sitges — The International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia — initiates the countdown. Yesterday, Monday, it opened its inscription period for feature films and shorts. The producers, distributors, and directors who wish to present their films will be evaluated by the festival programming committee. Sitges 2020 will take place this October 8th to 18th.
The festival programming committee is working normally and responsibly despite the coronavirus crisis. The committee is advancing in its viewings and selection of the first titles that will form part of the next edition of the festival. The application deadline for all categories is July 15th.
The title companies of the films selected by the programming committee will receive an entry form by which they will formalize their participation in the event. The Festival will only contact films selected by the committee. The Festhome platform is the only official platform to apply one’s piece. The organization does not accept other formats nor any other system besides the aforementioned.
