“What is your dream?” the first national Emmy Award-winning production stars this “Tuesday of Chilean Series”

“What is your dream?” the first national Emmy Award-winning production stars this “Tuesday of Chilean Series”

In this new edition we will explore the lives and projections of several children, between 7 and 13 years old, who come from different regions of Chile. We will echo their emotions, hobbies and family relationships through the successful documentary series What is your dream?

Chapter José

Produced by Mi Chica Producciones and under the acclaimed direction of Paula Gómez, this production was financed by the National Television Council Fund (CNTV) 2009 and was broadcasted by Televisión Nacional de Chile TVN (Chilean National Television),  receiving then outstanding international recognition and marking a milestone within the independent productions of our country after winning the International Emmy Kids Awards 2011 as Best Program in the category "Children & Young People", becoming the first Chilean television program to receive this award.  In 2014, the second season won a new International Emmy Kids Awards for Best Program.

What is your dream? has 2 seasons and 32 episodes that show the contrasts and diversity in which Chilean children live. Innocence, imagination and fantasies intermingle in truthful stories that portray how the places we inhabit shape our ideas, dreams and the way we understand the world.

The series has also achieved other important international recognitions, including the UNESCO Special Prize at the Prix Jeunesse International 2014 in Munich, Germany and 5 Prix Jeunesse Iberoamericanos in Brazil.

Paula Gómez Vera is a journalist. Since 1995 she has worked as a researcher, journalistic producer and director of various television series in Chilean television. She collaborated in programs such as Diagnóstico, Inmigrantes y Santiago no es Chile. In 2009 she became independent and set up her own television production company (Mi Chica Producciones) and since 2016, she became the first Chilean woman to be part of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Chapter Libko

Currently, along with her team, they are in full production of the series Years later, what is your dream? , a program that will show the current lives of those who starred in the series What is your dream?

We invite you to see the life of José Olivares, a 12-year-old boy who lives in Aysén and dreams of being a baqueano (in Patagonia, he is known as a good guide of the land and its resources) and Libko, a Pehuenche boy from Alto Biobío who dreams of being a toqui (Mapuche leader)
