This year Chile arrives with a historic participation in the Tallinn industry. The developing project Our Memory (Asimplevista and ClaraFilms) by director Matías Rojas is selected in the Baltic Event Co-Production Market.
The project stands out for being the only Latin American that is part of this section during this year. In the previous edition the Chilean participation was highlighted with The Mysterious gaze of the Flamingo by Diego Céspedes, a project that was also part of the Baltic Event Co-Production Market.
Through the mixture of genres and formats, Our Memory will delve into the wounds and scars left by the torture and abuse center Colonia Dignidad, with the intention of installing a reflection on our recent history. It was born from the research process of A Place Called Dignity, Rojas' second feature that is now part of the official selection of the Tallinn Film Festival.
"We believe in how much cinema serves as a vehicle for social transformation and to make visible all that is hidden, just like the story of our protagonists',' said Tomás Gerlach, Clara Larraín and Paulina Garcia, producers of Our Memory.
We invite you to learn more about the three producers behind this project.
