Chile, 1890. The belgian engineer Gustave Verniory (30) arrives to the city of Victoria, in the Chile-Argentina border, way down south in the american continent. His mission is not a simple one: to build a railroad that connects the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans. Gustave doesn’t imagine that the city is the center of greed, passion, and violence, all beyond what he has ever experienced. What at first looked like an exciting task, will turn into a confrontation with love and death. This series is based on the memoirs of Gustave Verniory “Ten years in Araucania.”
