By investigating a homicide in Puerto Montt and its surroundings, Rosa Almonacid (45), a tough Chilote detective, goes after a powerful murderer, who is part of the influential group of men from the local fishing club. Being a woman, indigenous, ugly and without social or political networks, Almonacid has all the odds against her by facing this circle of local elite composed of descendants of Germans and Norwegians, who have dominated the economy of the area for decades and, even today, are considered superior by their race. Almonacid goes after them, despite the odds and risking her life in more than one occasion.
