In 1973, deep in the Patagonian woods of Chile, José, a dirt-poor, scrawny little boy, witnesses the cold-blooded massacre of a group of peasants, including his own parents. Left as good as dead, José survives. 20 years later, he is now a successful and exiled journalist based in Norway who is sent to his homeland to investigate the strange church burnings in the Patagonia. His journey will submerge him into the perilous depths of a criminal conspiracy that will send him back to the forest where his parents’ remains are buried and where he will face the man who murdered them.
