This Monday was the premiere of the channel TV Educa Chile, a collaboration between the National Television Council (CNTV) and the National Television Association (ANATEL), and whose main objective is to deliver educational material to encourage learning for children and young people during the Covid-19 pandemic in our country.
The channel boasts curricular content based on the guidelines of the national Ministry of Education, with programming provided by CNTV that contemplates themes connected to History, Geography, and Social Sciences; Science, Technology, and the Environment; series associated with Language; and associated with the area of Visual Arts and Music.
Programming:

Some of the series that form part of TV Educa’s programming are in the CinemaChile Series Catalogue. Among them are Paper Port, Ruka’s Amazing Journeys, My Chocolo Dog, and Mazapán Animado.
The initiative was well received in the audiovisual sector, especially by developers of animated content, who often get to see their work exhibited on international channels but not on Chilean screens. Constanza Arena, executive director of CinemaChile, comments, “Many of these productions have formed part of CinemaChile’s International TV Catalogues and have traveled around the world being acquired by international channels and platforms. The fact that they’re on the national screen today is a sign of the quality of their content, of how relevant independent production is in, and for, our country, and, even more important, that it’s key for them to have local exhibition spaces in order to bolster international co-development. Audiovisual productions are undoubtedly motors for the creative industry, and they provide an increasingly relevant contribution to Chile’s GDP.”
TV Educa Chile initiated its broadcasts on April 27th and will have audiovisual content from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. In order to tune in, it’s necessary to have a television set with a digital signal (DTV) connected to an antenna.
