The new catalogue of Chilean series, released today in the context of the French encounter MIPCOM 2021, demonstrates that the audiovisual powerhouse in Chile crosses formats and genres; our film and television industries interconnect with one another through the innovative perspectives of their creators.<\/p>\n
The publication includes 54 series in total: 19 finished series \u2014 among which 8 are documentary projects, 7 fiction, and 4 animation \u2014 and 35 projects still in development, including 30 fiction projects, 3 documentaries, and 2 animation projects.<\/strong><\/p>\n In the catalogue, you\u2019ll be able to check out exclusive material from the new projects by renowned directors like Andr\u00e9s Wood and Julio Jorquera (News of a Kidnapping<\/em><\/strong>), Rodrigo Sep\u00falveda (Matadero Franklin<\/em><\/strong>), Dominga Sotomayor (GLADYS<\/em><\/strong>), Juan Pablo Sallato (Freed<\/em><\/strong>), and Guillermo Helo (They Don’t Want to See Us<\/em><\/strong>), among many others.<\/p>\n 71 national production houses form part of the publication, including 16 international co-productions, which will soon arrive on the most important streaming and web platforms in the world. Participating are the most outstanding series of the year, including Los Prisioneros<\/em> <\/strong>(Parox<\/strong>) and They Don\u2019t Want to See Us<\/em><\/strong> (Altirosapiens<\/strong>), which had their world premieres at the latest edition of Iberseries<\/a>, as well as the highly anticipated series Ines of My Soul<\/em><\/strong> (PROMOCINE<\/strong>) and La vida terminada<\/em><\/strong> (BTF Media<\/strong>).<\/p>\n The themes of the series in the new catalogue intersect Chile\u2019s recent history and that of the world, in which we see stories inspired by the pandemic lockdowns (Enlaces, Mi pap\u00e1 es un in\u00fatil, De Vivalldis y Pavarotti, Insomne<\/em><\/strong>), to the impact of the feminist movement (They Don\u2019t Want to See Us<\/em><\/strong>, La vida de nosotras, Chilenas en lucha, Disidentes<\/em><\/strong>), delving into the revindication of Indigenous Peoples\u2019 rights (Mapuche, Ancestral Secret<\/em><\/strong>), and the Latin American identity (Qu\u00e9 dice Latinoam\u00e9rica<\/em><\/strong>, Mitos y leyendas de Pe\u00f1aflor<\/em><\/strong>, Globitos y vi\u00f1etas<\/em><\/strong>), as well as the environmental crisis and education (M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de las olas, Los fant\u00e1sticos viajes de Ruka<\/em><\/strong>, Lyn & Babas<\/strong><\/em>).<\/p>\n
