Premiering on November 8th is the new television proposal They Don’t Want to See Us, created and directed by Guilllermo Helo and Juan-Oliver, that will also form part of the HBO Max catalog.
Injustice, the violation of the rights of at-risk children, and a system under collapse are the raw themes that the series takes on, starring a powerful female cast: Tamara Acosta, Paulina Urrutia, Francisca Lewin, Amparo Noguera, and Paulina García.
Produced by Altirosapiens in co-production with Mega, it had the support of public grants from Corfo and the National Television Council of Chile (CNTV). The co-production has been distributed internationally by MGE (Mega Global Entertainment) and was acquired by Warner Media Latin America.
The new television proposal consists of 8 episodes with a duration of 50 minutes each, where it tells the story of a lawyer (Tamara Acosta) in search of the truth about the supposed suicide of a minor living in a National Minors’ Service residence. In this investigation, along with a judge and the director of the center, they discover the hidden reality of life in that place, which is affecting other minors as well.
They Don’t Want to See Us (“No nos quieren ver”) will form part of the CinemaChile International TV Catalogue, and had its first projection at industry event Iberseries Platino Industria last October.
